# Hybrid UTXOEVM asset type

All assets represented in Covenant system have UTXOEVM duality, are data container objects, UTXO and EVM at the same time:

* adopt "real asset", "electronic cash" properties from real Bitcoin UTXO and play UTXO rules (script/opcodes, no double spending) 
*  also have properties that allow (smart contract) management (e.g. MetaMask sees unique non-fungible channel ownership dual type asset it as a normal NFT, and it indeed can be traded, transferred or plugged into any dApp).

### Key features

* Generally Covenant system asset is a UTXO-based data container object with additional, EVM-related fields and properties
* UTXO basis allows all Covenant system assets to be explicitly unique
* Double spending is impossible due UTXO basis
* Covenant assets can contain data (e.g. an NFT in Covenant system can contain its image within itself) 
* All assets channeled to Covenant system are "real", including those initially pure EVM (account-based)
