# Collator node

Collator master nodes are Covenant nodes that are responsible for obtaining and transmitting integrated network' blocks into corresponding connector module, for validating cross-chain messages, and for processing validated cross-chain messages to integrated networks.

Covenant Collator nodes obtain new blocks and transmit them to the corresponding connector module. Direct and decentralized access of Collators to integrated network nodes allows Covenant to provide safe cross-chain operations without relying on third-parties, bridges, or oracles.

These processes are publicly open and censorship-resistant:

* everyone can send integrated network' blocks to Collator nodes;
* everyone can transmit validated messages to integrated networks.
