# Reward policy

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: This chapter is currently under development.
{% endhint %}

Covenant system has its virtual gas representation that is used to calculate the amount of the reward for a validation master node. However, Covenant takes the fees using gasless mode - the user pays fees using native assets of the integrated networks (native gas token / USDT/USDC). While Covenant system gas amount represents the amount of reward the validator receives, the reward is paid to the validator via integrated networks assets (e.g. in BTC, USDT) .

All reward is distributed among consensus round participants (Collators, Validators), delegate stakers and Covenant system. Rewards (BTC-denominated and other networks’ tokens & coins) along with slashing mechanics for node misbehaviour on validation stake aim to intensify validation nodes to perform fair validation.

Master nodes and delegated stakers receive rewards in integrated networks' native tokens (BTC, USDT, USDC, etc.). Part of rewards goes to the Covenant system.<br>
