# User' decentralized entropy as an additional security layer

On Covenant users can safely participate in securing the Covenant system and receive rewards. Users can delegate an amount of funds to Covenant master modes. As a reward, users receive a shared amount (\~2%) of master nodes validation rewards.

Unlike in usual mechanics, this user-delegated stake is not subject to slashing. Users can also delegate to several nodes simultaneously.

This mechanics serves to provide an additional unforgeable source of randomness to the Covenant system, adding an additional layer in Covenant data & state security. This entropy source makes Covenant data ledger more resistant to attacks.

Lack of risks and realistic benefit in native assets (e.g. BTC) is an engaging driver for decentralized and incalculable user participation in delegated staking mechanics and as a result in securing the Covenant system.
