# Synthetic assets

Covenant system represent all assets as "synthetic" as all assets on Covenant system are channeled and tied to original assets in different blockchains (e.g. BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron, etc.). The mint and burn of synthetic assets depend solely on channeling mechanics (depositing / withdrawing) on the supplier chains.
